Natural breast augmentation enlarges the breasts with your own fat instead of silicone or saline implants. It suits women who want a natural look and feel, have extra fat to transfer, and would rather not have an implant in the body. It is priced as the fat transfer add-on together with liposuction of the donor area, both shown on the package price list.

Your own fat, or an implant

Natural augmentation

  • Your own fat cells, taken from an area you choose
  • No implant, so no risk of rupture or leakage
  • Recovery is usually quicker
  • The donor area is slimmed by liposuction at the same time

Breast implants

  • A silicone or saline implant placed in each breast
  • Implant risks, such as rupture or leaks
  • Recovery usually takes longer
  • No change to the rest of your body

Both add size. Fat transfer uses tissue from your own body; an implant is a device placed in the breast. One trade-off of using fat is that the body can reabsorb some of it, which is why the final size is judged after a few months.

How the fat transfer is done

It starts with a consultation to confirm you are a candidate. On the day, the work happens in three parts.

  1. Harvest

Liposuction removes fat from the donor area you and your provider agreed on, such as the abdomen, hips or thighs.

  2. Purify

The fat is cleaned so that only healthy fat cells are kept for the transfer.

  3. Transfer

The purified fat is injected into the breasts through a small cannula, where it adds volume and shape.

The procedure is done under local anesthesia and takes about 2 to 3 hours.

Signs it may suit you

You may be a candidate if several of these sound like you. Your consultation is where that is decided.

  • You want breasts that look and feel natural
  • You have extra fat that can be moved
  • You would rather avoid breast implants
  • You prefer a minimally invasive procedure
  • Minimal scarring matters to you
  • You want a quicker recovery
  • You would welcome a slimmer waist, hips or thighs too
  • You are looking for a long-lasting result

Recovery, and when the result shows

  1. First days

Swelling and bruising, which should ease within a few days.

  2. Several weeks

No strenuous activity. A supportive bra helps the breasts heal.

  3. 3 to 6 months

The transferred fat settles and grows in its new place, and the final size and shape show.

The result is meant to last and to look natural, with a real change in size and shape. How much change you see varies with your body.

Natural breast augmentation questions

Is the increase in breast volume permanent?
The fat cells that establish themselves in the breasts are considered permanent. Some transferred fat can be reabsorbed, though, so the final size is judged once the fat has settled, generally 3 to 6 months after the procedure.
Can I choose where the fat is taken from for the procedure?
Yes. At your consultation you and your True Contour provider decide on the best donor area, such as the abdomen, hips or thighs, which also improves the contour there.
Are there any risks associated with fat transfer breast augmentation?
Yes, as with any surgical procedure. They include infection, uneven fat distribution and fat reabsorption. Because no implant is used, there are no implant-related complications.
How long is the recovery time after natural breast augmentation?
Usually shorter than recovery from implants. Most patients have some swelling and bruising for a few days and avoid strenuous activity for several weeks.
How do I prepare for a natural breast augmentation consultation?
Think about the outcome you want, gather your relevant medical history, and be ready to talk through your goals and expectations. That helps your provider judge whether you are a suitable candidate.
What results can I expect from natural breast augmentation?
The aim is breasts that look and feel natural, with more volume and better shape. Results become visible over 3 to 6 months as the fat settles into the breast tissue, and they vary from person to person.
